Be an Essence...

Through working community and commercial projects, Dream wants to shift the conscious and subconscious way in which people view artists and their work, in the hope to one day change how an artist is viewed within society.

Not a Form...

Dream is a west London based multi-skilled group, of free thinking artists, who look to challenge any notions of labelling and stereotyping through their work and collaboration with others.

Projects

The individual members of Dream's arts organisation practice a variety of disciplines. All of which contribute to creating our  brand and ethos.
Dream is an organism that specialises in the arts without defining what art actually is.

The work showcased demonstrates the organisation as a single body of specialised functions; each member has a part to play in Dream's production and articulation of self.

CORRIE KING

Introducing the Artistic & Creative director of Dream;  Corrie David King. Also known as Corrieography, was born and raised in west London. He is a choreographer, songwriter, poet and professional dancer.  influenced to dance from as young as 3 years old, by his own grandmother, he was self-taught - with his technique training only starting in his early teens. In his self taught years he was inspired by all factors of art, from paintings to live performances, to books. This created his own unique movement language, that still appears in his dance styles to date. His technique background includes both classical and hip-hop. Classical styles include ballet, Tap, Contemporary. Though he has an more experience and lessons in classical, he has had a constant influence of hip-hop and has continued to earn his respect amongst the hip-hop community with his style of fusion. He has been training in popping, locking, house, lyrical and breaking. Furthermore Corrie David King has trained in the art form of traditional African for 2 years under the well known IRIE! Dance theatre.  Corrie has a BA degree in Dance, and is currently working, creating and mapping out his own form of movement that focuses on The essence of free movement, rather than the form itself.

He worked for a year within his local community on various community projects and  Corrie has commercially performed for the likes of kid ink, T-pain, Hudson east, BTS and more.

Corrie hopes to be able to eliminate the lines that society puts between people. He hopes to break the chains on people minds, body and soul, and grow towards a paradise we all seek.

MIAH ROBINSON

Miah Robinson is both an artist in fine art and dance, whilst being qualified as a design engineer from June 2021.

Miah’s aspirations are to be both knowledgeable and versed in all styles and their foundations with the aim to not be confined by any of the aforementioned. She aims to understand each craft to better uncover her identity as an artist and choreographer. Her ethos in both dance and engineering is that knowledge will gain better insight and insight will encourage better decision making. This is how she channels her personal development. Miah builds her identity for herself, to in turn, pass on an authenticity that is her artistry, through workshops, performances and showcases. She wants her contribution to the industry to be one that is uplifting; building and encouraging others to grow not only herself.

Miah has performed at a multitude showcases such as Break Out and Dancers Delight, and competed in World of Dance in both London and Switzerland, where her choreography featured in the latter.  Miah has featured in funded Projects and her own  work later featured in the emerging choreographers showcase by studio 3 Arts, where she choreographed a piece called ‘Matters of the Mind and the Heart’.

JAMES SINGH

James is an artist that specialises in idyllic landscape paintings. Depicting the natural world.
He is heavily influenced by the natural beauty of the world, along with romanticism paintings and artists such as Frederick Edwin Church.

He delves into vast mediums stemming from tradition to the more obscure. From pencil drawings and painting, all the way to sculpting, he works with materials such as foam, plastic and resin.
His preference is oil paint as he uses these not just to paint on canvas but also to paint his sculptures.

ADE ONUNUGA

Ade has danced for as long as he can remember, but has been doing so professionally since 2011. Starting out in the club scene, Ade progressed on to compete in dance battle events which eventually lead onto commercial work. During that time, his professional dance career grew; appearing on TV shows, adverts and dancing on stage and in music videos for artists, he has become a well rounded dancer.

Teaching also plays a major role in Ade's career, having taught different styles of Hip-Hop and street dance to adults and children alike. It is worth noting, however, that while he enjoys the buzz that battling gives him, Ade is equally as passionate about teaching. Both aspects of dance allow him to express his creativity and share a different part of himself. As a teacher, Ade wants to show his students that dance is more than simply moving your body to music and has a deeper layer within its connection to music, our minds and how we influence others.
